Titular diocese of Lacedaemonia
Lacedaemonia ( Italian : Lacedemonia ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to an early Christian diocese located in the Peloponnese . It belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Patrasso.
The city of Lacedaemonia itself owed its origin to the Spartans who occupied the area between 735 BC. BC and 715 BC Conquered. Originally without its own city walls, Lacedaemonia was founded around 600 BC. To a military camp.
