Titular diocese of Natchesium

Titular diocese Natchez is a Roman Catholic titular diocese and is called Natchesium in Latin .

The diocese , located in the USA, was founded on July 28, 1837 from the area of ​​the Vicariate Apostolic Mississippi. It belonged to the ecclesiastical province of New Orleans and was 46,340 square miles in size. On December 18, 1956, it was replaced by the Diocese of Natchez-Jackson , which since March 1, 1977 has only been called Jackson.
