Titular diocese of Tongres
Tongres ( Italian : Tongeren ) is a Catholic titular bishopric .
This is the diocese of Tongeren , founded in the 4th century , which was moved to Maastricht in the 7th century and became the Diocese of Liège in 760 . The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Mechelen .
