Titus Waldenfels (born March 3, 1969 in Munich ) is a German guitarist and composer .

Life and career

Titus Waldenfels is the grandson of the poet Albrecht Goes and his wife Elisabeth Goes , son of the philosopher Bernhard Waldenfels and his wife Christin Waldenfels-Goes and nephew of the theologian Hans Waldenfels . After graduating from the Maximiliansgymnasium in Munich, he studied German and musicology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität until 1997 with a master’s degree .

Since 1993 he has been working as a professional musician in the fields of jazz , blues , country , chanson and theater music. His instruments are electric and acoustic guitar, violin and, since 2002, lap steel , banjo , mandolin and a self-developed foot bass.

Since 2006 he has spent several months in the USA, especially in Texas , where he made appearances with numerous musicians from the local music scene and could also be heard live on the radio.

Cooperation and participation (selection)

He worked with groups and musicians such as Embryo , Mal Waldron , Monty Waters , Dr Will and Eugene Chadbourne , participated in three productions of the comedy nobility and played the music in Der Varreckte Hof by Georg Ringsgwandl at the Munich Lustspielhaus, director: Steffi Baier.
