Tiverton (Devon)

Tiverton ( Twy-Ford-Town , Zwei-Furten-Stadt) is a town belonging to the English county of Devon . It has a population of about 18,000 and is the administrative seat of the Mid Devon district .
The name of the city comes from the two fords on the Exe and Lowman rivers , where the first people settled in Celtic and later Roman times.
