Tivi Magnusson

Tivi Magnusson (born September 30, 1942 in Århus ) is a Danish film producer .

Life

Magnusson has been a film producer since the early 1980s and has overseen over 50 film and television projects to date. From 1984 to 1988 he was the director of Metronome Productions and from 1988 to 1990 program manager at Danmarks Radio and from 1990 to 1995 the vice-sector manager at the Egmont AudioVisuel Group . In 1995 he founded together with his son Kim Magnusson , the M & M Productions . Furthermore Magnusson was one of the co-founders of the Danmarks Film Akademi .

In 2009 he produced Joachim Back's short film drama The New Tenants , which is based on a screenplay by Anders Thomas Jensen and which won him an Oscar in 2010. A year earlier he had also received an Oscar nomination in the Best Short Film category as the producer of Dorte Warnø Høghs Grisen .
