Kim Magnusson
Kim Magnusson (born September 29, 1965 in Charlottenlund , Gentofte Kommune , Denmark ) is a Danish film producer who received the Oscar for best short film at the 1999 Academy Awards and 2014 Academy Awards and was nominated three more times for this award.
biography
Magnusson started as a producer of short films as early as 1986 and founded the film production company M&M Productions with his father Tivi Magnusson in 1995 , with which he has over 100 films to date, but also episodes of television series such as Mr. Poxycat & Co. , Inspector Beck - The New Cases and Maria Wern produced.
At the 1997 Academy Awards , he and Anders Thomas Jensen were nominated for the Oscar for the best short film for the first time for Ernst and the Light (Ernst & lyset, 1996). Another nomination for this Oscar followed with Anders Thomas Jensen in 1998 for Wolfgang , before he received the Oscar for the best short film for election night (1998) with Anders Thomas Jensen in 1999 .
Also in 1999, Magnusson won the Daytime Emmy Award with David Korda, Rolf Deyhle and Rudy Cohen for the children's film Die Insel in Vogelstrasse, based on the book of the same name by Uri Orlev . He also received the Night Dreamer Award from the Danish NatFilm Festival in 1999 .
Together with his father, Magnusson was nominated in 2001 for the Robert Film Prize for best film for Blinkende lygter (2000). Most recently, at the 2007 Academy Awards, there was another nomination for the Oscar for best short film, this time with Søren Pilmark for Helmer & Søn (2006). In 2014, he and his colleague Anders Walter won an Oscar for the film Helium in the Best Short Film category .
Other well-known films produced by him and his father were Danish Delicacies (2003), Nói Albínói (2003), Faustrecht (Ondskan, 2003) and Adam's Apples (2005).
