Flickering Lights (English for flickering lights ; in the Danish original: Blinkende lygter ), also known under the German title Blinkende Lichter , is a Danish comedy film named after a poem. The poem by Danish writer Tove Ditlevsen will also be read out once during the film.

action

The four petty criminals Torkild, Peter, Arne and Stefan, who have known each other since their youth, are trying to escape to Barcelona with four million crowns that they have stolen from their gang boss. On the run their car stops and they end up somewhere in a dilapidated house in front of the Danish border in the middle of the forest , where they have to hide for the time being: One of them was shot and there is no longer any possibility of continuing to Barcelona. In addition, their boss, who wants his four million back, is looking for them. As they begin to enjoy the hut over time, they decide to refurbish it and make themselves "comfortable".

One after the other , the childhood traumas of the four, which are reflected and processed in their mostly funny behavioral habits of the present, are told in flashbacks.
