action
Egon Olsen helps his classmate Kjell cheat on a math test by writing cheat sheets for him . Of all people, Kjell's friend Valborg reports this to the teacher. She whistles the two but rather unintentionally. Egon Olsen takes all the blame and has to be arrested again. After his release, he announces his latest plan: Together with Benny, Kjell and Dynamit-Harry he wants to found a rock band . This is supposed to win a talent competition to play as the winner at the premiere of Norwegian television (NRK). The Norwegian television broadcaster NRK is awarding a prize of 50,000 crowns for this talent competition in 1960 for the opening of its regular broadcasting operations . In addition to the Olsen gang , the Biffen gang (with Biffen , Knut and Johnny ) and Herman , Hermansen's son, also take part in this competition. To their horror, when observing the rehearsals of the Biffen band (s) , the Olsen Gang realized that they played very professionally and were very well prepared. Biffen dedicated his song to Kjell's girlfriend Valborg . Hermann wants to perform the piece of music Für Elise by Ludwig van Beethoven on the piano and also dedicates it to Valborg . He also has a good chance of winning the competition or impressing Valborg . So they are serious competitors for Kjell and the Olsen Gang. Kjell then works as a songwriter . He writes a song called Valborg oh oh yeah yeah ... The Olsen Gang gets support from Kjell's cousin Tommy , who has professional band experience. We rehearse together. With Tommy's help founded Olsenbande with "Dynamite Harry" on drums , the rock and roll band "The Dynamites". One day an American, who calls himself Pop-Johansen , shows up with his partner Dolly Svendsen in the regular ice cream parlor of the Olsen Gang to listen to Tommy's band "The Lions". He promises cocky young talents such as B. to promote the Olsen Gang band "The Dynamites" and to lead them to fame and success. But he can only do this for an amount of 50,000 kroner. B. to record or market songs in America and to cover other expenses. In the hope of becoming so successful and winning the tendered money in the talent competition, the Olsen gang Pop-Johansen agrees . On the day of the talent competition, the Biffen gang sabotaged Hermann's wing and hid a dynamite charge in the drums of the Olsen gang , which fortunately did not explode for the time being. First has Herman its grand entrance; because of his damaged wing he gives up in exasperation. Then the Biffen band "Biff" appears with an English-language title, for which they are criticized by the director of the NRK, because only Norwegian songs are actually wanted here. But the Biffenbande impressed the audience and Valborg , to whom this song is dedicated, with a seemingly professional performance . The following Olsen gang is already in the backstage. Egon notices that the Biffen band is cheating on the competition. The Biffen band has a record player on and only imitates the vocals when they perform. Egon pulls the plug of the record player and the biffen gang fall silent. As a result, she is booed and disqualified. Now it's the turn of the Olsen Gang with their smash hit Valborg dedicated to Valborg, yeah, yeah, yeah . The broadcasting director is also excited about the English Yeah, Yeah in the title. But he is appeased by the present school principal of the Olsen gang, because the Yeah, Yeah is possibly only Norwegian dialect here . The performance was a huge success for the Olsen Gang . She wins the competition and the prize money with great enthusiasm. Pop-Johansen is now collecting the contractually guaranteed money in the amount of 50,000 crowns in order to subsequently bring out “The Dynamites” in a big way. Valborg and Ingrid are also deeply impressed by the success of the Olsen band (s) . According to Pop-Johansen's statement, they too can make it big. But it turns out a little later that Pop-Johansen and Dolly have broken away and are in reality just simple scammers who just wanted to collect the money. The Olsen gang is now suspected of having manipulated Herman's wings. Detective Inspector Hermansen and his assistant Holm are therefore looking for her. Egon is now tracking down Pop Johansen's hiding place and wants to get the money back from his Franz Jäger safe . He is caught by Pop-Johansen . Since the scams by Pop-Johansen and Dolly have now been exposed, they want to quickly take a small plane abroad. They kidnap Egon . Kjell and Benny manage to free Egon at the last moment and escape from Pop-Johansen by plane . The police, who were actually on the trail of the Olsen gang, only meet Pop-Johansen and Dolly at the airport . She arrested them after slowly finally figuring out their game. The Biffen gang , who were also put on the neck of the Olsen gang , can be caught by Egon , Benny and Kjell after their happy landing at the airport. She, too, now confesses her misdeeds such as B. the sabotage on Herman's wing. The Olsen Gang is fully rehabilitated again. At the end of the day, the Olsen Gang band "The Dynamites" got their big gig when Norwegian television started broadcasting. Also Valborg and Ingrid now appear together with the "The Dynamites". Finally, at the end of their performance, the explosive device explodes in Dynamite Harry's drum kit. Fortunately, nothing else happens and everyone thinks that it was just a show by the Olsen gang. The Olsen Gang has its desired great success.
Reviews
“After his debut with 'The Junior Olsen Gang Goes Submarine' ('Olsenbanden jr. Går under vann' or 'Die Olsenbande Junior submerges') the Norwegian director Arne Lindtner Næss tells in his latest film about a new adventure of the busy boys from Oslo. When the television broadcaster NRK was launched there in 1960 and announced a talent competition in which the prize money was 50,000 crowns, Egon, Kjell and Benny were promptly there. Supported on drums by their buddy 'Dynamit-Harry', they spontaneously found a rock'n'roll band, but before 'The Dynamites' can celebrate triumphs on stage, there are still a lot of obstacles to overcome. Not only does an unexpectedly strong rival band appear with the 'Biffs', but also the classmate Valborg, who was adored by Kjell, who he won the smash hit 'Valborg, yeah, yeah, yeah!' does not respond to the song as hoped. - For 90 minutes the quartet puts on a huge show on the screen. In Norway, the turbulent feelgood movie, in which the old motto 'The Kids Are Alright' is once again valid, broke visitor records. "
