action

In the middle of winter, Egon Olsen is released prematurely against his will from the Oslo State Prison Botsfengselet .
Benny is planning his latest coup for the Olsen Gang at the old Holmenkollen ski jump . When Egon is arrested there, he also has to jump from this jump.
At the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo , Egon wants to hand over the microfilm about the new oil discoveries. But he is set up again and can only be rescued from the roof of the skyscraper at the last second by Dynamite Harry's helicopter.

Through an amnesty , Egon is released early from prison against his will. The amnesty was decided on the birthday of the Norwegian politician and justice minister Inger Louise Valle for all prisoners who would only have to serve short sentences. Olsen would have liked to stay longer in prison because he would have met the lawyer Bakke there in two days. He wanted to get some important tips from this lawyer for his latest plan. After Benny and Kjell picked him up from the Botsfengsel , he had to tell them that because of this he didn't have a new plan for a coup. Benny has a replacement plan for a break, whereupon Egon is reluctant to take part. Benny plans to shoot something on Holmenkollsøndagen (Holmenkoll Sunday) - that is the very last day of the Holmenkollen ski festival on Holmenkollen . During this ski event everyone is distracted and nobody notices when they sneak into the ski jump building on the mountain. Benny's plan runs smoothly, and not even to open the Franz-hunters - vault he needs Egon's help. That's too much for Egon, he screws up Benny's coup and takes an opportunity to set off the alarm. Benny and Kjell have to flee without being able to take their prey with them. Egon allows himself to be arrested as a suspected burglar, but first has to jump down from the Holmenkollen ski jump to be transferred to prison . In the end, however, Olsen achieved his goal and is back in prison.

When Egon comes out again, this time he brings a well-engineered plan with him. This time it's about a micro-film that is about to be stolen and for which certain people are willing to pay a lot of money. This film contains important information and documents about investigations into promising undersea oil deposits in the Norwegian North Sea. Those who have this important information can make a significant profit. Brock-Larsen, a former diplomat and once a highly respected official in the oil ministry who is now on the road as a windy financial advisor and business man, has been desperately looking for this highly explosive film for some time. A German consortium interested in oil production in the North Sea would pay Mr. Brock-Larsen 100 million German marks for this data. Egon, or the Olsen gang, now wants to steal the microfilm for Brock-Larsen from the Norwegian oil ministry and is supposed to receive 10% of the profit, which would still be 10 million DM. The police have also got wind of Brock-Larsen's machinations and want to clear up or prevent this dark business. Detective Inspector Hermansen is now being brought back by the police chief because of the new case in order to prove himself again. Most recently Hermansen was demoted because of his alleged failure, transferred to the mounted street police and had to work there as a stable boy in a police stud.

Egon knows exactly where and how to get the film easily. The archives of the Ministry of Oil can be accessed unnoticed through an entrance on historic masonry and from there via an old, secret entrance to a cave that leads directly into the building. Thanks to Egon's ingenious plan and using their tricks, the Olsen Gang succeeds in stealing the explosive film. However, when it is handed over to Brock-Larsen, the gang is tricked. Since Brock-Larsen wants to save the 10% for Egon and doesn't need any witnesses, he wants to make him disappear. The windy businessman has his assistant Roy take Egon to a disused factory, where he wants to eliminate him using gas. Benny and Kjell, who notice that something has gone wrong with Egon, take up the chase and are able to save him at the last second.

Egon swears revenge and now wants to get everything for it. He knows exactly when the arrival and handover of the film to the black baron, the German representative of the ominous oil consortium, will take place. They outsmart the black baron when he arrives at Oslo airport and take the red suitcase with the 100 million DM that he wanted to use to buy the film. That's too much for Brock-Larsen; he has Egon searched and reports him to Detective Inspector Hermansen as a thief. Olsen now has to flee from the police. Finally he is overwhelmed by Brock-Larsen's helpers and the millions are taken away again. In another attempt, the Olsen gang can outsmart the black baron while he is still enjoying himself in Oslo for a few days. You take the film from him and offer it to Brock-Larsen again. This time he gets involved in a trade with Egon, as the supposed oil consortium no longer wants to wait with the trade. In Kjell's apartment, however, the film was accidentally mixed up with a vacation film by Kjell's wife Valborg. When Egon is supposed to present the plan to the oil consortium, he embarrasses himself by it, and business with Brock-Larsen goes smoothly again. He is now putting Egon under pressure to finally tell him where the right film is, and has him tied to a car on the roof of the Radisson SAS Hotel Scandinavia . When the time is up, without revealing his secret, Egon is let down with the elevator car. In the meantime, Benny and Kjell have fetched the 100 million DM from Brock-Larsen's safe. When they see Egon in his predicament, they need dynamite Harry's help to free him. He has a job as a demolition manager in the Oslo district of Fornebu at Oslo-Fornebu Airport . With his help, they “borrow” a helicopter from the airfield, which Dynamit-Harry then steers to the hotel in question. At the last moment they can save Egon from the roof of the SAS Scandinavian Airlines hotel. The rescue operation was successful, but on landing Egon was arrested and taken to the police headquarters with the suitcase.

Hermansen has Brock-Larsen arrested on the basis of a complaint from the archivist of the oil ministry. But since the evidence, the confiscated film, only contains holiday pictures of Kjell's family, he has to release him. For his repeated failure, he is suspended from the police force. But before he says goodbye to the police, he lets Egon Olsen go again. Due to a mix-up with the police, however, Egon's suitcase with the money is exchanged for an identical-looking suitcase with fishing equipment from Detective Inspector Hermansen. He actually wanted to spend a few quiet fishing days on his planned vacation . When Hermansen realizes that his suitcase is now the money, he immediately takes a taxi to the airport to drop off at his sister in Canada . Egon also realizes that he now has the wrong suitcase and therefore wants to go back to prison. Egon ravaged a shop window with displays from the porcelain manufacturer Porsgrunn -Porselænsfabrik, whereby he was arrested again as planned and taken to the Oslo state prison. On the occasion of his tenth anniversary imprisonment (or the tenth Norwegian Olsen gang film), he is ceremoniously received by a prison band and an escort of honor in the prison and personally greeted by the prison director.

Reviews

"Much praise for the Olsen Gang - this time the story is one of the better, with fine references to current political issues ... So this time a lot of praise for the Olsen Gang. But in the future a lot could be worked out on the script ... Otherwise, however, you have every reason to congratulate on this occasion. "

- Johan Svendson in "Arbeider-Avisen" :

“Direct hit - A film that goes completely crazy, with many direct hits and few dead spots. But now it might be time to give Aud Schønemann some better dialogue to play. Her otherwise excellent Valborg would have deserved a little more pepper. (...) All a present from Knut Bohwim and Teamfilm A / S. This is fun pleasure, it is a place to laugh. Because I was born in Oslo, I would like to thank the cameraman Bjørn Jegerstedt (B-cameraman): this city is not that bad if you just set up the camera at the right angle. "
