Lars "Lasse" Kolstad (born January 10, 1922 in Kristiania , † January 14, 2012 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian film and theater actor and singer . In Norway he achieved great fame on the theater stage in the role of Tewje in the play The Fiddler on the Roof ( Spelemann på taket ) and on the radio through the humorous radio play series about the "famous criminal detective" Dickie Dick Dickens . He has worked as an actor in many Norwegian productions in film and television . Special attention received in the television series Skipper Worse in the lead role as Skipper Worse . Kolstad also played in several musicals and plays in the course of his life , most notably at Det Norske Teatret , where he was active for over 30 years.

Life

Lasse Kolstad grew up in Oslo with his older brother, the well-known Norwegian actor Henki Kolstad . He was the son of Andreas Kolstad (1883–1959) and Johanne (1884–1966). As a high school student, Kolstad graduated from high school in Oslo in 1940. At the traditional Russian celebrations in Norway , he was elected President of the 'Russ' (Russian President). At that time, however, he could not celebrate the Russian party with his senior class, because it was completely canceled in 1940 because of the German occupation . Lasse Kolstad was married to actress Randi Kolstad from 1946 to 1955 . After the divorce, she married the actress Bab Christensen in 1957 . They had an adoptive son, Lars Michael Kolstad (* 1965), who is a well-known theater actor in Norway and is now the stage manager at Den Norske Opera & Ballet . Kolstad died on January 14, 2012 at the age of 90 in Oslo's Diakonhjemmet Hospital. Kolstad was also particularly known for his distinctive, sonorous baritone voice.

Kolstad made his debut at Trøndelag Teater in 1943 , where he played until 1949. He then moved to Centralteatret 1949–1950, then to Edderkoppen teater 1950–1952, from 1952 to 1956 at Riksteatret and at Fjernsynsteatret (television theater ) 1965–1969 and at Det Norske Teatret 1956–1965 and from 1969, where he stayed until his Played retired in 1992. Music and musical

Kolstad had an extensive career as a musical actor and singer at Det Norske Teatret in many well-known musical performances and musicals. Kolstad made his film debut in 1953 in Nils R. Müller's Skøytekongen and only had his first leading role in the film Kanarifuglen in 1973 and his second in 1974 in the thriller Bortreist på ubestemt tid (also known as Gone until further notice; director Pål Bang-Hansen ) .

In addition to his appearances in television theater, Kolstad made his debut in 1981 in the Norwegian comedy series Fleksnes , where he played a leading role in the episode Dobbeltgjengeren ("Doppelganger").
