Island at the end of the world (Original title: The Island at the Top of the World ) is an American science fiction film from 1974. It is based on the novel Island at the end of the world (also The Lost ; Original title: The Lost Ones ) by Ian Cameron and was produced by the Walt Disney Company . The shooting took place in Redmond , Oregon .

Sir Anthony Ross sets off for the Arctic in an airship called Hyperion to find his missing son. In the middle of the icebergs he discovers a community of Vikings who live secluded on an island like a thousand years ago.
