Øivind Blunck

Øivind Blunck (born December 28, 1950 in Norway ) is a Norwegian film and theater actor and comedian .

Life

Blunck made his debut at Det Norske Teatret in Oslo in 1970 and worked there until 1972. His debut included a wide repertoire. He then continued his theater career at the ABC teatret , which later became the Edderkoppen theater. He achieved his breakthrough at the theater in 1983 as a musical artist and ballet master in the play Agneta Pleijel's ballets på scenen . As a result, he got further engagements on the stage and was cast in various leading roles, such as the innkeeper Thénardier in the musical Les Misérables , in the Threepenny Opera ( Tolvskillingsoperaen ), in Cats and in Sweeney Todd or in Brørne Østermanns huskors . He had other important appearances in the play Annie Get Your Gun på Chateau Neuf in the role of Frank Butler and in the theater comedy Den spanske flue (The Spanish Fly) as the Assyriologist "Henrik Meißel". Blunck also appeared in three Revueen , together with his Norwegian fellow actress Hege Schøyen , into: "Bare gode venner" 1992-1994 and "Almost følge" 1996. Numerous performances from his various works were also on record , cassette tape and compact disc released .

In addition to his appearances on the theater stage, Blunck had numerous appearances in Norway in a number of humorous roles in well-known Norwegian film and television productions. With Hege Schøyen he also appeared in Easy Reidar in 1992 , where he played the leading role of “Reidar” and skatted in Høyt, where he played “Fridtjof”. In the Norwegian television comedy Showbiz eller hvordan bli kjendis på en-to tre! He appeared in 1989 in the role of program manager. Furthermore, Blunck also worked in six films by the Norwegian Olsen Gang as a detective assistant or constable “Walter Holm”.

Blunck married the Norwegian actress , singer and dancer Guri Schanke in 1991 . In May 2008, they announced that they were temporarily separated.

Awards

In 1998 he was awarded the Norwegian Revue Prize Leonard Statuettes, which is awarded for the best Norwegian comedy of the year.
