Tobias Eckert (born December 18, 1980 in Hadamar ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the Hessian state parliament since 2012 .
education and profession
From 1987 Tobias Eckert attended the Franz-Leuninger School in Mengerskirchen . He then completed his secondary school leaving certificate at the Westerwaldschule Waldernbach and began training as an administrative clerk at the municipal authority of Limburg in 1998 , which he completed in 2001. In 2003 he started part-time training to become an administrative specialist in Limburg. After completing part-time training in 2006, Tobias Eckert worked for the Limburg magistrate until he moved into the state parliament on June 10, 2012.
politics
Tobias Eckert joined the SPD in October 1998. Since 2000 he has been chairman of the SPD in the district of DIllhausen. Eckert has been deputy chairman of the SPD in Mengerskirchen since 2002. Tobias Eckert has been chairman of the SPD in the Limburg-Weilburg district since 2010 .
In 2001 Tobias Eckert was elected to the community council of Mengerskirchen and the local advisory board of Dillhausen for the first time. In the local elections in 2006, they moved into the Limburg-Weilburg district council.
In the community council Mengerskirchen he is parliamentary group chairman of the SPD parliamentary group and sits on the main and finance committee.
In the district council, Tobias Eckert is a member of the main, finance and administrative committee and the committee for regional planning, economy and transport.
Member of the Hessian state parliament
In the state elections in 2009 , Tobias Eckert ran for the first direct mandate in the Limburg-Weilburg II constituency . On June 10, 2012, he replaced Manfred Görig , who took up the office of district administrator in the Vogelsberg district , in the Hessian state parliament. In the state elections in Hesse in 2013 , he ran again in the Limburg-Weilburg II constituency. He moved into the state parliament via the SPD state list.
Here he belonged to the interior committee, the committee for economy, energy, transport and regional development as well as the council of elders. He was also a member of the committee of inquiry into the NSU affair.
In 2018, Tobias Eckert ran again in the Limburg-Weilburg II constituency and lost to Andreas Hofmeister from the CDU. He moved into the Hessian state parliament via the state list of the SPD Hessen . Since the beginning of the 20th Hessian state parliament in January 2019, Tobias Eckert has been deputy parliamentary group leader of the SPD. He is a member of the Committee for Economy, Energy, Transport and Regional Development and the Committee for Digital and Data Protection. As spokesman for the SPD Hessen parliamentary group, he is responsible for the issues of economy , transport , tourism , digitization and disaster control .
