Tobias Lindner (born June 16, 1961 in Korbach / Waldeck) is a former German biathlete .

Career

Lindner grew up in Willingen in northern Hesse . He skied for the first time at the age of 4. He has been the West German school and youth champion in cross-country skiing and Nordic combined several times . In 1977 he became German vice-champion in youth I in cross-country skiing. He switched to biathlon in 1979 and was German runner-up in 1980 with the junior relay of the Hessian Ski Association (Helfrich, Hensel, Helfrich, Lindner). After joining the sports sponsorship of the Bundeswehr, he was able to complete more professional training. In 1985 he was nominated for the DSV's B-team . In 1988, Lindner became the overall winner of the Alpine Cup (now the European Cup) and qualified for the A-squad of the national biathlon team. In 1989 and 1990 he was a World Cup participant (4 missions). In 1989 he finished 30th in the 20 km individual.

Today Tobias Lindner is head of the personnel department and press officer of the sports school of the Bundeswehr in Warendorf .
