In addition to making mathematical instruments for the farm, Tobias Volckmer jr. best known for the fact that he made the first printed city map of Munich as a copperplate in 1613 based on his own measurements . This map shows in detail the houses, streets and city walls of Munich and also contains a list of the most important buildings. Numerous scenes from the everyday life of Munich's citizens and the court are also recorded on the map, e.g. B.
