Todor Lyubchev Nedelev ( Bulgarian Тодор Любчев Неделев , English transcription Todor Nedelev ; born February 7, 1993 in Plovdiv ) is a Bulgarian football player . The midfielder is under contract with Botev Plovdiv and is a Bulgarian international .

Career

Nedelev began his career in 2004 in the youth of Botev Plovdiv , from whom he moved up to the first team squad for the 2012/13 season. He made his professional debut on August 11, 2012 in the A Grupa in the 3-0 win against Slavia Sofia . He scored his first two goals on October 6, 2012 in a 2-0 home win against Lokomotiv Sofia .

During the winter break of the 2013/14 season , Nedelew moved to the German Bundesliga club 1. FSV Mainz 05 . On March 25, 2014, he made his first Bundesliga appearance in the away game at Eintracht Braunschweig , when he came on for Julian Koch in the 75th minute . For the second team of Mainz Nedelew first met on 23 September 2014 at the 4: 0 win against Prussia Munster in the 3. Liga .

After he only made six appearances for the second team in the first half of the 2015/16 season , he was awarded to his former club Botew Plovdiv in January 2016 until the end of the season. After the loan business had already been extended by one year in the summer of 2016, Nedelew moved permanently back to Plovdiv for the 2017/18 season .

National team

Nedelew came in October 2011 as part of the qualification for the U19 European Championship three times for the Bulgarian U19 national team. He played four times for the U21 team of the Bulgarian Football Association and scored three goals in two games against Andorra within five days of qualifying for the European Championship .

On August 14, 2013 Nedelew made his debut in the 2-0 away defeat in the friendly against Macedonia in the senior team .
