Toivo Lauren (* 1919 in Finland ) is a Swedish ski jumper .

Career

Lauren celebrated his international breakthrough, who emigrated to Sweden after his birth in Finland in 1952 , at the Four Hills Tournament in 1953 . After surprising the competition with fifth place in the opening competition on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he also showed a very good performance in Oberstdorf with seventh place on the Schattenbergschanze . In Innsbruck he landed ninth on Bergiselschanze before finishing the tour with eighth place in Bischofshofen . In the overall ranking he finished fifth with 843.9 points, tied with the German Sepp Weiler . In the year before the tour he had a personal record on the Heini-Klopfer ski flying hill on March 2, 1952 with 131 meters. In the following Four Hills Tournament in 1953/54 Lauren was able to achieve good placements again and ended up in tenth place in the overall standings. He achieved the same placement in the Four Hills Tournament 1954/55 . On his last Four Hills Tournament in 1955/56 , Lauren did not land in the top 10 of the overall ranking for the first time and came eleventh after mixed results.

In 1969, at the age of 50, Lauren won the Swedish Senior Championship.
