Tom Ebert (also Tom Ebbert , born September 19, 1919 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , † January 7, 2013 in Petersburg , Indiana ) was an American jazz trombonist of hot jazz .

Tom Ebert was a founding member of the Louisiana Repertory Jazz Ensemble in 1980 ; He has also worked with Wallace Davenport , Pud Brown , the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Jacques Gauthé , Chris Tyle 's Excelsior Jazz Band, and with Lionel Ferbos , the Dukes of Dixieland and The Palm Court Jazz Band .
