Tom Noga

Tom Noga (born March 7, 1960 in Bochum ) is a German radio author, journalist .

Life

Tom Noga studied law at the Ruhr University Bochum and now lives in Cologne. He works for Die Zeit , the Stern , the Frankfurter Rundschau and the Süddeutsche Zeitung , among others , and has created numerous international reports, radio plays and features for Westdeutscher Rundfunk , Südwestrundfunk , Bayerischer Rundfunk and Deutschlandradio . Tom Noga reports in particular on societal issues from the USA and Latin America. He is characterized by a great closeness to his protagonists. Together with his Brazilian wife Tays (née Costa Fernandes Serra) he also runs the South American tour operator América Viva and the blog of the same name.

In 2006 and 2008, Noga received the RIAS Berlin Commission Radio Prize . In 2012, together with Monika Künzel, he was awarded the German Radio Prize for the program The Crazy Never Die - The Long Night of Hunter S. Thompson (Production: Deutschlandradio Kultur ) .
