Tom Westborn (* 1981 in Duisburg , Germany ) is a German musician , producer and speaker . His best-known work is the song Wie Schnee (2016). Westborn is also known for its collaboration with voice actors and actors Manfred Lehmann , Eckart Dux and Tommi Piper as well as guitarists Phil Palmer and Eva Jacob from the Jacob Sisters . Since the end of September 2019 he has been producing one song a day. The challenge ( a song every 1 day! ) Ends on September 27, 2020.

Career

He gained his first musical experience in 1993 as a guitarist in the school band Yes or No in Moers. There he was also the band leader of the band The Basement , which was broadcast in 2002 in 1 Live Heimatkult. From 1994 to 2004 Westborn was the guitarist of the gospel choir Joyful Voices Moers, with whom he made concert tours to Berlin , France , Sweden and the USA .

In 2016 Westborn released his debut album Wie Schnee . The title song was broadcast on ARD Hitnacht , among others .

The follow-up work Bring Back the Mojo is studded with guest musicians . Eckart Dux and Tommi Piper sang the chorus from the title track Bring Back the Mojo . And Manfred Lehmann spoke the initial slogan for the title Old Heroes are slowly dying . Finally, Eva Jacob from the Jacob Sisters sang the duet once again New York with Westborn .

In 2019 there was a collaboration with star guitarist Phil Palmer from Dire Straits on the album I saw land . With the song Ahoy, ahoy! Palmer contributed various guitar parts and eventually played a guitar solo .

Since September 28, 2019, Westborn has had a song in the media and on the Internet with its Challenge Every 1ag . Here he produces one of his songs every day for a year and publishes it on his YouTube channel .

Tom Westborn is a fully qualified lawyer and works in the health sector . He made his first headline with an "SMS from Udo Lindenberg". He has already composed over 700 songs. Ralph Siegel praised his songs as powerful and offered a collaboration. Henning Wehland finds his challenge Every day a song is a cool thing . The song Christel is published by the German Alzheimer Society on the Alzheimer & You homepage. Westborn`s trademarks are his black leather jacket and his colored sunglasses, mostly in pink.
