Tommy Cook (born July 5, 1930 in Duluth , Minnesota ) is an American actor , film producer and screenwriter .

Life

Tommy Cook made his acting debut as a child actor in the 1940 short film Mutiny in the County . He played one of his first major roles as Tarzan's opponent Kimba in the adventure film Tarzan and the Leopard Woman from 1946. Cook also often played foreign, exotic-looking young people in other films. In the 1948 film noir Schrei der Großstadt , Cook played the role of Tony Rome . In 1950 he could be seen as Vince Poldi in the thriller Under Secret Orders . Cook served as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the 1950s , but continued to work in the film business.

In the years and decades that followed, Tommy Cook appeared as a supporting actor in a variety of well-known films. This includes roles in films such as The Hero of Mindanao , where Cook played the resistance fighter Miguel . He worked as a voice actor for cartoon series. His film roles became rare in the 1960s and 1970s, but he had guest roles on series such as Perry Mason , West of Santa Fe , The Streets of San Francisco, and CHiPs . In 1983 he ended his acting career after 43 years with a guest appearance in the series Hart but cordially .

In addition to his acting career, Cook also worked as a screenwriter and producer. He co-wrote and co-produced the disaster thriller roller coaster (1977) and the love drama Spiel mit der Liebe (1979) with Ali MacGraw .

Tommy Cook is married and has two children.
