Tomoe Yokoyama

Tomoe Yokoyama ( Japanese 横山 朋 枝 , Yokoyama Tomoe ; born August 9, 1976 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese long-distance runner .

In 2000, on her debut over this distance, she finished 13th in the Nagoya Marathon in 2:34:37 ​​h and was fifth in the Prague Marathon in 2:35:18. In 2003 she won the Ōme marathon over 30 km. Shortly afterwards, she suffered an injury to her right ankle that caused extreme pain when running beyond the half-marathon distance.

It was not until 2009 that he made a comeback with another win in Ōme. At the Boston Marathon of the same year, however, she suffered a slump in the second half and only came in 20th place in 2:47:57.

Tomoe Yokoyama is 1.52 m tall and weighs 41 kg. She has been with the TOTO team since 2006 , where she is trained by her brother Kei.
