Tonči valčić (* 9. June 1978 in Zadar ) is from Croatia originating handball player . Valčić is 1.94 m tall.

Valčić, who plays for the Croatian top club RK Zagreb (shirt number 24) and plays for the Croatian national team (shirt number 24), is mostly used in the left backcourt .

Tonči Valčić played for RK Zagreb since his youth and played his first league games there. With Zagreb he won the national championship in 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 and the Croatian Cup in 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000. In 2000 he was signed by the German association TV Großwallstadt . He stayed there for three years and then moved on to CB Torrevieja in the Spanish league ASOBAL . In 2007 he moved to the top club Ademar León for a year before returning to his hometown club in Zagreb in 2008 and winning the championship and trophy every year.

Tonči Valčić has so far played over 144 international matches for the Croatian national team. In the 2003 World Cup in Portugal , he was world champion and the World Cup in Tunisia in 2005 vice-world champion. At the 2007 World Cup in Germany , he finished 5th with the Croatians who had come as the favorite for the title; At the European Handball Championship in Norway in 2008 , he was again runner-up with his country. In 2009 he was runner-up in his own country again. He was also runner-up at the 2010 European Championships . In 2011 he finished fifth at the World Cup.

His younger brother Josip Valčić is also a handball player.
