Tony Dow (actually: Anthony Lee Dow ) (born April 13, 1945 in Hollywood ) is an American actor , film producer , television director and screenwriter .

Life

He began his acting career in 1957, and has since appeared in many television series in front of the camera. He became famous in the late 1950s in the lead role of Wally Cleaver in the television series You Should Be Grown . In addition to acting, as an adult he also worked as a producer and visual effects manager in film and television productions. From the late 1980s onwards, he also directed several television series such as Babylon 5 , Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Mit Herz und Scherz .

Tony's mother, Muriel Montrose , worked as a stunt woman in early westerns . He himself was a champion at the Junior Olympics in the diving discipline . In 1965 he served in the National Guard . He then attended the technical college for journalism and also worked in law firms and in the construction industry.
