Tony Dumas (bass player)
Tony Dumas (* 1. October 1955 in Los Angeles ) is an American jazz - bassist .
Dumas began his musical career in the early 1970s in the bands of Johnny Hammond Smith , Kenny Burrell and Freddie Hubbard ; In 1974 he played with Patrice Rushen . From the mid-1970s he worked full-time as a studio musician and worked on recordings of Nat Adderley and JJ Johnson in Japan in 1977, Billy Higgins ( Soweto , 1979), Jack Sheldon, George Cables , Milcho Leviev , Art Pepper (1980), Frank Morgan (1985), Billy Childs (1988) or Joe Farrell (1992) with.
