Tony Ramoin (born December 23, 1988 in Cannes ) is a French snowboarder . He starts in the snowboard cross discipline.
Career
Ramoin had his first international success at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2005 in Monthey . There he won the bronze medal. In April 2005 he won the gold medal at the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2005 in Zermatt . He drove his first World Cup race in September 2005 in Valle Nevado , which he finished in 49th place. At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2008 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , he won the bronze medal. In the 2009/10 season he achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup with fifth place in Bad Gastein . At his first Olympic participation in Vancouver in 2010 , he won the bronze medal. The following year he finished 27th at the 2011 Snowboard World Championships in La Molina . In the 2011/12 season, which he finished ninth in the Snowboard Cross World Cup, he achieved third place in Chiesa in Valmalenco, his first and so far only World Cup podium. At the Snowboard World Championships 2013 in Stoneham he was ninth. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he came 17th. In January 2015 he came in 23rd place at the Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg .
Ramoin has taken part in 54 World Cup races so far and was among the top ten five times (as of the end of the 2015/16 season). In 2008 he became French champion in snowboard cross.
