Tony Rich

Tony Rich (actually Antonio Jeffries , born November 19, 1971 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American singer , songwriter and music producer who had some chart successes as The Tony Rich Project . Stylistically, he moves in the areas of R&B , soul and swing .

biography

Rich became known under the name The Tony Rich Project with the song Nobody Knows , which entered the US charts in late 1995 and reached number two there. In the spring of 1996, placements in the German Top 100 (86th place) and the English Top 10 (4th place) followed. Nobody Knows is among the top ten selling singles in the UK in 1996.

The accompanying album Words also made it into the German, English and American album charts . It was also awarded a Grammy for Best R&B Album . The releases Like a Woman and Leavin ' were minor hits in the UK and US charts in 1996.
