Too Many Zooz is an American brass house band from New York City . The band consists of the three founding members Leo Pellegrino ( baritone saxophone ), Matt "Doe" Muirhead ( trumpet ) and David "King of Sludge" Parks ( drum ).

history

Leo Pellegrino and Matt "Doe" Muirhead met at the Manhattan School of Music . They met David Parks from the band Drumadics and began to play street music together in the New York subway stations as a trio, which they themselves call brass house . Too Many Zooz achieved greater notoriety after a video recording of one of their gigs at New York's Union Square Station in March 2014 spread to YouTube and Facebook in December 2015.

In addition to a studio album , the band has released several EPs that received mixed to positive reviews.

On November 2, 2016, Too Many Zooz played one-time with Beyoncé at the CMA Awards in Nashville , Tennessee .
