The Torfbahn Kuschawerskoje ( Russian Узкоколейная железная дорога Кушаверского торфопредприятия , transkr. Uskokoleinaja schelesnaja doroga Kuschawerskowo torfopredprijatija , transl. Uzkokolejnaâ železnaâ doroga Kušaverskogo torfopredpriâtiâ ) is a narrow-gauge railway to the village yubileyny , Gorka in Rajon Chwoinaja in the Novgorod Oblast in Russia .

history

The formerly 60 km long peat railway, 16 km of which is still in use today, was put into operation in 1967. The shortened route is in operation all year round.

The operating railway has a track width of 750 mm and is mainly used today for peat transport and the transport of workers.

As more vehicles are more open and closed freight cars, passenger cars, tank cars, hopper cars for transporting ballast during track laying, a snow plow, the one crane type GK 5 and PPR2 and a tank wagon for extinguishing water for fire fighting are available.
