The Torre España or Torrespaña (popularly also Pirulí [Spanish for lollipop]) is a reinforced concrete television tower in Madrid that was built in 1982 . It is 231 meters high (220 meters without antenna) and was the tallest building in the city until the four-person high-rise complex in the Cuatro Torres Business Area was completed . The design was created by the architect Emilio Fernández Martín de Velasco .

The Torre España is not open to the public. National terrestrial television channels such as RTVE , Telecinco , Antena 3 and the autonomous Telemadrid channel, as well as some radio stations broadcast from Torre España.
