Torsten Warnecke (born November 16, 1962 in Rendsburg ) is a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Torsten Warnecke studied political science in Marburg after graduating from high school . According to its founding director Ralf Zoll , he brought the minor course at the Center for Conflict Research at the University of Marburg with him. He worked in a carpentry shop, in publishing and in public relations . Most recently he was the office manager of the SPD member of the Bundestag Michael Roth .

politics

Torsten Warnecke is a member of the SPD and has been a member of the SPD state executive since 1995 . He also held various board positions in the youth organization of the SPD, den Jusos . Among other things, he was the Hessian Juso state chairman.

In terms of local politics , he is deputy chairman of the SPD district parliamentary group and the SPD city parliamentary group in Bad Hersfeld .

In the state elections in Hesse in 2008 , he was elected directly to the Hessian state parliament as a constituency member in the Hersfeld constituency and was narrowly re-elected in the state elections in Hesse in 2009 despite heavy losses. He is deputy chairman of his group.

In the state elections in 2013 and 2018 , he was able to successfully defend his direct mandate.
