The Torul Dam ( Turkish Torul Barajı ) is a dam on Harşit Çayı in northern Turkey . The barrier structure, a 152 m high dam , is 5 km east of the Kürtün dam .
The dam consists of a rock fill as a support body with concrete slabs on the water side ( CFRD construction) and a hearth wall . The bedrock made of tuff and limestone with parts of basalt was sealed with a sealing curtain.
The hydroelectric plant can with his two Francis turbines , each 52.8 MW power per year 322 GWh generate electrical energy.
