Tour de Timor 2011

The 2011 Tour de Timor was the third edition of the annual mountain bike race in East Timor . It took place from September 11th to 16th and ran under the motto "Peace begins with me".

The total prize money increased to US $ 100,000, including US $ 10,000 for the best male and female drivers. The number of participants was limited to 350, 80 of whom were supposed to be East Timorese. The first stage led from the state capital Dili in a south-east direction to Laclubar , in the center of the island. On the second day we went south to Beaco and on the third day further along the coast to Iliomar . The fourth stage led via Lospalos to Com on the north coast. From there it went on the fifth day via Baucau along the north coast to Manatuto , before returning to Dili in the sixth stage.

The winners were the Australians Luke Fetch in the men and Peta Mullens in the women. Including drivers, supporters, media representatives and officials, over 1000 people took part in the 2011 Tour de Timor.
