The Tour de Timor 2017 was the ninth edition of the annual mountain bike race in East Timor . It took place from September 19th to 23rd. Over 200 riders took part in the UCI Category 3 race.

This year the tour was subtitled “Timor-Leste- ASEAN Peace Bridge”. The aim was to get participants from all ASEAN member states to start. East Timor aims to join the alliance as soon as possible. The naming should "demonstrate the enthusiasm and readiness of East Timor" to belong to ASEAN.

The first stage ran from the state capital Dili to the west via Bazartete and Railaco to Aileu . The route was 84 km long and led from sea level to 1185  m . On September 20th, south of Aileu, we set out on a circuit of 81 km. The highest point was 2253  m . On the third day, the participants drove from Aileu to Maliana via Gleno and Ermera over 114 km. This was followed by another 83 km circuit on the fourth stage. On the fifth day we went back to Dili along the coast.

Overall winner of the men was the Portuguese David Vaz in 18:02:34. In the women's category, Peta Mullens from Australia won in 20:52:39.
