Três Coroas is a city with 28,220 inhabitants (estimate as of 2019) in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil . It is located about 90 km northeast of Porto Alegre . The towns of Canela , Gramado , Igrejinha , Santa Maria do Herval , São Francisco de Paula and Taquara are neighboring . Originally Três Coroas was part of the Taquara municipality.
