Tracy Bartram

Tracy Bartram (born June 17th in London , United Kingdom) is an Australian comedian, radio celebrity and singer.

Youth and education

Although born in London, Bartram grew up and lives in Melbourne , Australia.

Bartram attended Lyndale High School, Dandenong , from 1972, which she dropped out in 1977.

In 1989 she started doing stand-up comedy alongside her job in sales and marketing . Her first appearance lasted 10 minutes and took place at a Hilton hotel in Melbourne.

Career

radio

In 1994 Bartram started at the Perther radio station 94.5FM and performed with Fred Botica . After three years she moved back to her hometown and hosted the breakfast program on Melbourne's Fox FM with Matt Tilley , which became the station's most popular program for six years.

While at FOX FM, she interviewed many celebrities on her own show, the Hour of Power , including Susan Sarandon , Kristin Davis , Anastacia , Ronan Keating , Matt Damon , Jodie Foster , Geoffrey Rush, and Bob Geldof . After a break from radio from 2003 to 2005, Bartram presented from March 2006 on MIX 101.1 (now KIIS 101.1 ) together with comedian Tim Smith on the show Tracy and Tim for Breakfast . Bartram and Smith ended their engagement with Mix 101.1 in late November 2007.

From 2008 to 2010 was a presenter in the Red Symons breakfast show at 774 ABC Melbourne .

TV

Bartram had her first appearances on television in the daily TV shows of a Perther regional broadcaster Jenny Seaton Live and Mad About Movies , where she regularly brought funny news items. She was a regular guest on the talk show Beauty and the Beast and occasionally on other talk shows such as Good Morning Australia , Rove and Mornings with Kerri-Anne .

Live shows

Bartram writes and produces her own shows. In 1990 she started with " My Life Through the Eyes of a 60's Child ", followed in 1992 by " Lipstick on the Wattle " and in 1993 by " Tracy Bartram After Dark " ("Tracy Bartram after dark"). She also wrote the shows " Six Foot Silly and Sexy " in 1994 (Adelaide, Melbourne & Perth), " Six Foot Silly and Six Months Pregnant " ("Six Feet Crazy and Six Months Pregnant") 1994 (Edinburgh Fringe), " Discovering My Roots " 1998, a musical performance with a seven-piece band, " Rawhide " 2001 and " Tracy Bartram Live " 2003.

The show " Tracy Bartram Live " was recorded and was released on CD in 2004 on "Shock Records".

After leaving Fox FM in 2003, Bartram starred in the play Minefields and Miniskirts , wrote her show Illegally Blonde , which premiered at the 2004 Melbourne International Comedy Festival , and moved to Edinburgh in 2004 .

In 2008 she starred in " Mums The Word 2 - Teenagers " in Sydney and Perth.

In 2009 she founded her own band, The Tracy Bartram Band . She worked with jazz musicians "because both comedy and jazz are improvised". She interpreted classic pop songs as cool jazz . Her band consisted of piano, drums, guitar and singer.

Other professional activities

Bartram moderates company events, holds presentation workshops, helps addicts and does charitable work.
