Trust, look who!

Trust, look who! is a waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 463). The work was written in 1895 and was performed for the first time on December 15 of the same year under the direction of Eduard Strauss in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein . The title is borrowed from the corresponding proverb .

Remarks

The work was also known under the name of Waldmeister Walzer . The composer has compiled the work based on motifs from the operetta Waldmeister and dedicated it to the painter Franz von Lenbach . The first performance of the waltz took place 11 days after the first performance of the aforementioned operetta Waldmeister (December 4, 1895). The following works have also been compiled from this operetta and have corresponding opus numbers: 464 , 465 , 466 , 467 and 468 .

The playing time is 10 minutes and 43 seconds, but it can vary with other conductors.
