Travemuender angle

The Travemünder Winkel is an area in Schleswig-Holstein .

The Travemünder Winkel lies between the Baltic Sea (in the north), the river Trave (in the south and east) and Hemmelsdorfer See (in the west) and belongs to Lübeck and the Ostholstein district (municipalities of Ratekau and (to a lesser extent) Timmendorfer Strand ). The Lübeck part was administered from 1852 by the Travemünde Office, which was added to the Lübeck City and Country Office in 1879 . In 1935 the Lübeck part was incorporated into the Hanseatic City of Lübeck.
