Tray Walker (born August 5, 1992 in Miami , Florida , † March 18, 2016 there ) was an American American football player. He played one season on the position of cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Walker played college football at Texas Southern University from 2011 to 2014 . In his first season he scored 22 tackles and was able to increase to 41 tackles and 3 interceptions in his final season. In total, he was able to record 159 tackles and 9 interceptions in the four years.

NFL

In the 2015 NFL Draft , Walker was selected in the fourth round as the 136th player by the Baltimore Ravens . In his rookie season , he came to a total of eight missions and two tackles . He was mostly used in the special teams .

death

On the evening of March 17, 2016, Walker collided with a Ford Escape while riding an off-road motorcycle at an intersection . According to police, he wore dark clothes, no helmet and drove without lights. Despite emergency surgery, he succumbed to his injuries a day later at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Allegedly, his vehicle had neither license plates nor headlights and was therefore not approved for road traffic. Walker is said not to have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
