college

Edwards started playing college football in 2002 . At Stanford he was a substitute for starting quarterback Chris Lewis in 2002 and 2003 . Because of his impressive performance as a backup, he was a starter for four games, but then injured his shoulder, which meant he had to sit out for the remainder of the season. In 2004 he was the starting quarterback, but injured himself again, which he had to cancel two games and two more could not play at all. Edwards had his best year in 2005, when he played all eleven games for the team, made 168 of 268 passes and reached 1,934 yards and 17 touchdowns . NFL

Edwards was selected in 2007 by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the NFL Draft as the 92nd player. He made his NFL debut on September 23, 2007 in a game against the New England Patriots because the Bill's quarterback JP Losman was injured. After his first games, Edwards injured himself in October 2007, making JP Losman a starter again. This then played badly, which Edwards was back to the starter in late November 2007.

In the 2008 season, Edwards was injured during a game against the Arizona Cardinals on October 5. Edward returned against the San Diego Chargers , the Bills won the game 23:14. Towards the end of the season Edwards injured himself again, JP Losman replaced him and lost twice, so that the Bills could no longer qualify for the play-offs .

In 2010, the Bills released Edwards from the squad. He played 2010 with the Jacksonville Jaguars , Oakland Raiders and 2012 with the Philadelphia Eagles , but could not prevail on any team.
