Trent Williams (* 19 July 1988 in Longview , Texas ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the San Francisco 49ers as an offensive tackle .

college

Williams attended the University of Oklahoma and played for their team, the Sooners, among others with Sam Bradford and DeMarco Murray College Football . He was used in various positions in the offensive line and was chosen for his good performance in various selection teams.

Washington Redskins

In the 2010 NFL Draft he was selected by the Washington Redskins as the fourth player in the first round and was used in every game in his rookie season, with one exception always as a starter .

Despite various problems - he was suspended for 4 games in 2011 for substance abuse , in 2013 he was fined $ 7,875 for slapping Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks in the face and in the same year he could not participate in the Pro Bowl because he himself injured in a fight in a nightclub - his teammates repeatedly voted him one of the two team captains of the offense .

For his consistently good performance he was elected to the Pro Bowl every year between 2012 and 2018.

After Williams had to have a growth on his head surgically removed, he was extremely dissatisfied with the medical care and had been on strike with his team since the summer of 2019 to force a change.

On April 25, 2020, the Redskins Williams gave the San Francisco 49ers a fifth-round pick in the 2020 draft and a third-round pick in 2021 .
