The Tresner or Treser Horn ( Italian Corno di Tres , also common in German ) is a 1812  m slm high mountain in the southern half of the Mendelkamm , which is part of the Nonsberg group in the Alps .

Location and surroundings

The Tresner Horn is the highest of a series of less prominent elevations in the southern Mendelkamm between the Roen ( 2116  m ) in the north and the Wiggerspitze ( Cima Roccapiana , 1873  m ) in the southwest. The ridge, which runs roughly in a north-south direction, bears the border between South Tyrol and Trentino at the height of the Tresner Horn . The summit represents the highest point in the area of the Unterlandler municipality Kurtatsch and belongs on its Nonstaler side to the municipality Predaia .

Climbs

The summit of the Tresner Horn can be reached via marked hiking trails from the north and south and is even accessible to mountain bike riders with short pushing passages. The shortest and quite steep ascents from the South Tyrolean side are made from the Fennberg in the southeast via the Räther-Steig and the Fenner Joch, a ridge cut south of the Tresner Horn, or from Fennhals via the Sattelsteig , which reaches the ridge height north of the Tresner Horn.
