Trevor Bryan (* 23. August 1989 in Albany , USA ) is an American boxer in the heavyweight and current unbeaten interim champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA short). He is being promoted by Don King .

Amateur career

Bryan participated in the prestigious Golden Gloves tournament in both 2010 and 2011 . In 2010 he lost his first fight against the tournament silver medalist Lenroy Thompson . In 2011 he defeated Vincent Hadley and Jonathan Guidy, before he was defeated in his third fight again Thompson, who won the tournament this time, and was thus again eliminated without a medal.

Professional career

Bryan made his professional debut in 2011, winning it with an early win in Round 2 against compatriot Demarcus Young in Hollywood , Florida .

On April 11, 2015, Bryan won the vacant WBA Fedebol title when he defeated the Colombian Epifanio Mendoza in the 5th round by giving up in a 9-round battle . At the end of August of the same year he defeated Derric Rossy in a fight over 10 rounds by unanimous decision and thus secured the vacant North American Junior Championship (NABF).

In the summer of 2018 there was a fight in the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix , Arizona , in which it was about the vacant WBA interim world championship, against his compatriot BJ Flores . Bryan won by technical knockout in round 4 and thus secured the interim world title of the organization WBA.
