Tricarico (* 1. February 1971 in Milan as Francesco Tricarico ) is an Italian pop singer .

Career

Tricarico became active musically at an early age and studied flute at the Conservatory in Milan . Then he turned to pop music and was able to land a number one hit in 2001 with his debut single Io sono Francesco . His self-titled first album was released the following year on Universal . He appeared as the opening act at concerts by Jovanotti . His second album Frescobaldo nel recinto followed in 2004. In 2005 Tricarico contributed the title song to Leonardo Pieraccioni's film Ti amo in tutte le lingue del mondo . After a new single (Un'altra possibilità) he wrote a song for Adriano Celentano in 2007 .

At the Sanremo Festival 2008 Tricarico was able to win the critic's award with the song Vita tranquilla . He then released the third album Giglio , now with Sony BMG , and wrote a song for Gianni Morandi . In 2009 he returned to the Sanremo Festival with Il bosco delle fragole and also published his first book Semplicemente ho dimenticato un elefante nel taschino . He was also involved in the charity song Domani 04/21/2009 and his previous label released a best of the musician. After another festival participation Tricarico in 2011 (with Tre colori ) another album, L'imbarazzo , was released, followed in 2013 by Invulnerabile and in 2016 by the two-part Da chi non te lo aspetti .

With the single Generazione , Tricarico announced a new album for 2019 at the end of 2018.
