The University of Trnava was founded in 1992 in Trnava (then Czechoslovakia , since 1993 Slovakia ).

history

The educational institution, founded in 1635 as the Hungarian University of Tyrnau in Trnava and moved to Budapest in 1777 , has no direct relationship with today's university in the city.

The university, founded by the Republic of Slovakia in 1992, has five faculties. Four of them are located in Trnava and one in Bratislava .
