Trust International BV is a Dutch group of companies based in Dordrecht . The German branch Trust Deutschland GmbH is based in Kleve .

Companies

The company was originally founded in 1981 under the name Aashima and initially imported computer accessories , game consoles and video games. In 1985 the company developed its first own products with joysticks . In 1988 the first foreign branches were established in Germany , England, Italy and France. The son of the company founder, Michel Perridon, changed the original company name to Trust in 1993 and then expanded it into a brand.

The group of companies currently has 19 branches in Europe and Asia and employs around 250 people worldwide, with the majority of production being outsourced to China. In 2010 the turnover was around 250 million euros , which it generates primarily in the low-price segment.

The company sells mice , graphics tablets and keyboards , webcams , accessories for notebooks , audio devices for the PC sector and products for computer gamers.

Sponsoring in motorsport

Trust has supported Formula One teams since 2003 , including Minardi , Jordan and Spyker . In the 2009 season, Trust appeared as a sponsor of the Red Bull Racing team . The drivers wore the Trust logo on their helmets this season, and five computer mice were designed in collaboration with Red Bull Racing.

Trust sponsored Minardi Team USA for the 2007 Champ Car season . When the Champ Car World Series merged with the IndyCar Series at the end of the season , it ended its involvement there.

During the 2008 season, the company became the main sponsor of the GP2 team Arden International , which during this season appeared under the name Trust Team Arden .

In addition to its commitment as a team sponsor, the company supported various, mainly Dutch racing drivers, such as Renger van der Zande , Christijan Albers and Jos Verstappen .

At the end of 2009, the company ended all sponsorship activities.
