Fürnsal is a district of the city of Dornhan in Baden-Württemberg and belongs to the district of Rottweil .
history
At the end of the High Middle Ages, the local rulership was owned by the von Brandecks . In 1341 the Lord von Brandeck pawned the village to the Lord von Lichtenfels . Later the Lords of Dettingen came into possession of the pledge. Fürnsal was part of the Sterneck rule until the middle of the 18th century . In 1749 the rule and the place fell to the Duchy of Württemberg . During the implementation of the new administrative structure in the Kingdom of Württemberg , Fürnsal was assigned to the Oberamt Sulz in 1810 . In 1828 Sterneck was separated from Fürnsal as an independent municipality. The administrative reform during the Nazi era in Württemberg led to membership in the district of Horb in 1938 . After the Second World War, Fürnsal fell into the French occupation zone and thus came to the newly founded state of Württemberg-Hohenzollern in 1947 , which was incorporated into the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1952.
The independent municipality of Fürnsal was dissolved on March 1, 1972. On that day it was merged with the city of Dornhan and the communities of Bettenhausen, Leinstetten and Marschalkenzimmern to form the new city of Dornhan.
