Trypillja ( Ukrainian Трипілля ; Russian Триполье Tripolje ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with about 2800 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2005).

Trypillia located about 40 kilometers south of Kiev near the town of Ukrainka on the right bank of the Dnepr and above all by well known that at the end of the 19th century in their environment archeologist Vikentiy Chwoika the remains of a large settlement of Cucuteni Tripolje culture discovered and dug up. The settlement existed around 4800-4500 BC. BC, had about 10,000 to 20,000 inhabitants and was therefore a large city for the time. The remains of the fortified settlement of the Kievan Rus Trepoli, first mentioned in the annals of Yaroslav the Wise in 1032, lie on the territory of the village .

In Trypillja there is a museum with numerous finds of the Cucuteni-Tripolje culture and later periods.

Trypillja is a popular holiday destination with many holiday homes and sanatoriums.

The Trypillja power plant is located near the village .
