AB Trys sezonai (Eng. 'Three Seasons') was a company with a textile factory in the second largest Lithuanian city ​​of Kaunas . Sports jerseys and underwear for women were produced. The State (Republic of Lithuania) owned 18% of the company's shares and Jonas Žakaitis held 44.4%.

history

In 1935 the "Trikotažas" jersey factory was established. From 1975 it belonged to the Adelė-Šiaučiūnaitė-Trikotage-Manufacturing Association ( Adelės Šiaučiūnaitės trikotažo gamybinis susivienijimas ). On December 3, 1990, the factory was founded as Valstybinė įmonė "Trikotažas". It remained as a state enterprise until April 17, 1992. In 1992, the state factory “Trikotažas” was reorganized into AB “Trikotažas” (General Director Jonas Žakaitis) after privatization . The customers were Femina and clothing store Otto Werner from Germany, Hennes & Mauritz ( Sweden ) and other Scandinavian companies. "Trikotažas" exported 90% of its production (70% to the West and from 10% to 15% to Russia , Latvia and Estonia ). In 1996 a profit of 441,000 Lt (127,722 euros) was achieved. "Trikotažas" employed 1,200 people. According to the order from AB "Trikotažas", the related company AB Silva processes around 30–50 tons of products in the finishing area every month.

In 2001 AB "Trikotažas" was renamed to AB "Trys sezonai". The general manager was Julius Dilys. In 2000 a turnover of 14.889 million litas was achieved. In September 2001 AB "Trikotažas" donated the dismantled Adelė Šiaučiūnaitė monument to the Grūto parkas park in Druskininkai . In September 2001 AB “Trys sezonai” presented the first collection of Trikotage products (designer Žymantas Mugenis) with 30 models in the international exhibition “Baltijos tekstilė ir oda” of Litexpo in Vilnius .

In 2002 the company produced up to 2.4 million jersey products. 97% of all products were exported to Western Europe . The biggest buyer of the products was the Swedish company H&M. 80% of the production was sold to foreign customers in Germany and Scandinavia ( Sweden , Finland , Denmark ). In 2002 the company employed 500 people. The share capital was 14.99 million litas. 68% of the shares belonged to a group of people like Juozas Dilys, Rosvaldas Vaitkus, Rita Žakaitienė (2002: 42.13% shares).

In 2003 "Trys sezonai" started to build a new factory in the Dainava district . In the former factory territory (2.3 hectares) and building, the "Hyper Maxima " trading center was established by " VP Market ". In 2004 it was planned to achieve a turnover of 22 million litas. In 2005, Igor Rapoport and Aleksandr Vitolinis bought 46.82 shares of "Trys sezonai" for 211,344 lats (0.3 million euros). In July 2005 "Trys sezonai" became insolvent. In 2006 the company owed Lt 9 million (the main creditors were Valstybinė mokesčių inspekcija and " SoDra "). The facilities and buildings were sold to UAB " Kauno tekstilė " (director Vanda Pranculienė, former head of "Trys sezonai"). On February 5, 2007, the company was dissolved due to liquidation .
